Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gio Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gio Avila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsuo Miyagi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Avila drives through with a takedown into guard.
Avila really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Avila is pushing down on Miyagi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Miyagi is fighting to maintain full guard but Avila has managed to sneak the leg through.

Avila is working for a kimura but Miyagi is defending it quite comfortably.

Avila is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miyagi is just riding it out for now. Avila eventually gives up the hold.

Avila is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miyagi defends it well.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Avila shoots in looking for a takedown but Miyagi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Avila's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gio Avila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Avila looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Avila misses with a takedown attempt - Miyagi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Avila bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyagi keeping full guard, as Avila tries to pass.
Avila sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miyagi's guard.

Avila is working for an americana but Miyagi has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Avila was thinking about the submission.

Miyagi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Avila defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Avila has gone for a leg lock! Miyagi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Avila's guard.

Avila wants to sweep here but Miyagi controlling him for the moment.

Gio Avila overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tetsuo Miyagi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Miyagi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Avila is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
