Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Kawada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Medeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Jose Medeiros!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Medeiros closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kawada's guard.

Medeiros is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kawada to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kawada shrugs it off.

Medeiros has hold of Kawada's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kawada manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kawada looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kawada tries to close the distance and clinch but Medeiros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Medeiros throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kawada was covering up waiting for the punch and Medeiros finishes the takedown easily into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Medeiros is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kawada has managed to free his arm - good work.

Medeiros is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kawada doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Medeiros.

Kawada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Medeiros but Medeiros pushes him off and we're back to square one.
