Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cherry comes to the cage accompanied by Busters Back. Ryan has chosen Girlfriend as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Cherry counters with a straight right hand.

Cherry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cherry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ryan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cherry has Ryan in his guard.

Cherry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ryan manages to get himself to full guard.

Ryan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cherry is thwarting Ryan's attempts to control the position.
Cherry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ryan keeps working.
Ryan is pressing down on Cherry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cherry throws a strike but Ryan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ryan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cherry.

Ryan scores with a jab. Cherry acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Cherry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jake Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cherry on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ryan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cherry has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cherry bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ryan's head.

Cherry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ryan to the ground. Cherry is now in Ryan's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cherry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Ryan cracks Cherry on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Cherry falls backwards against the cage. Ryan follows up with more strikes that drop Cherry to his knees. Ryan keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Cherry! This one is all over!
