Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Alaniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aron Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaniz comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - What's My Name? . Burza has chosen Du Hast - Rammstein as his entrance music. Aron Burza has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Charlie Alaniz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Alaniz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aron Burza!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burza shoots for a double leg takedown but Alaniz sprawls well. He's pushed Burza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Burza has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Alaniz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Alaniz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burza quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Alaniz is working for a kimura but Burza is defending it quite comfortably.
Alaniz working over Burza with some ground and pound. Burza looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Alaniz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Alaniz drops an elbow to the side of Burza's head.
Alaniz not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Alaniz is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burza wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Alaniz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burza doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alaniz.
Alaniz is pressing down on Burza's thigh, looking to free his foot. Burza is holding on for now.

Burza is looking for a sweep. Alaniz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burza is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Alaniz seems to be looking for submissions.
Burza slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Alaniz trying to control the position from guard on top but Burza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alaniz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Burza looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Burza is trying to control the position but Alaniz postures up.
Alaniz cracks Burza with a solid left hand.
Alaniz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Alaniz lands a couple of digs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alaniz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Burza is proving hard to escape from.
Burza is trying to keep Alaniz in close.
Alaniz is fighting to break Burza's control of his arms but Burza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Burza tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Burza manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Burza looking to control but Alaniz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Alaniz is controlling an arm, preventing Burza from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Alaniz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Alaniz is working hard here to advance position.
Burza controlling the pace for now.
Alaniz is desperately trying to improve his position but Burza has a good base and remains in mount.
Burza trying to control but Alaniz is having none of it.

Burza breaks from Alaniz's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Burza takes Alaniz's back.

Burza is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Alaniz taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Burza.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aron Burza!
After the big win, Aron Burza made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Grand Royal Wear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
Charlie Alaniz was interviewed post fight and said 'congratulations'.
