Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Didenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaro Pajari!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Didenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pajari circles away.
Didenko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pajari.
Didenko stuffs the takedown attempt from Pajari. Pajari gets slowly back to his feet.
Pajari's coach down at Valhalla:NY GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pajari's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pajari looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vlad Didenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaro Pajari.
Pajari fails with the takedown.
We've been hearing reports that Didenko has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
No luck for Didenko with that takedown attempt.

Pajari throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Didenko was covering up waiting for the punch and Pajari finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Didenko looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Didenko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pajari defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Pajari is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pajari lands a couple of digs.
Didenko has momentary wrist control but Pajari slips an elbow through the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pajari trying to control but Didenko is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Didenko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pajari is defending well. Didenko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pajari has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Didenko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Vlad Didenko!
