Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marlin Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bug Spit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spit is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Human Insecticide. Bug Spit has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marlin Pena's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pena pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pena tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spit swivels and escapes.

Pena fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Spit to the ground. Pena is now in Spit's guard.
Pena scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Spit looking for a sweep. Not yet Spit, not yet.
Spit trying to keep a closed guard but Pena is proving a slippery customer.
Spit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pena slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Marlin Pena will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Pena is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Spit's half guard.
Spit is staying active underneath Pena, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Spit wants to get back to his feet.

Spit is looking to improve his position but Pena isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pena is riding his opponent, not letting Spit buck him off.
Pena misses with punches from the back.
Pena really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Spit.

Pena fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pena tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spit paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Spit closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Spit lands in his opponent's guard.
Pena wants to stand up but Spit is controlling him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bug Spit hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Pena is trying to drag Spit to the mat but Spit just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pena tries to land knees in the clinch but Spit avoids the damage to the body.

Spit has Pena pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Spit pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pena tumbling to the mat - Spit dives into Pena's guard.
Spit passes Pena's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Spit maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Pena could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Spit has cracked it and Pena is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Spit!
