Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Kawabata Makoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Yoshimitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makoto comes into the arena with Have you seen the other side of the sky? blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yoshimitsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Makoto.
Makoto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Makoto connects with a looping right hand.
Makoto throws a nice inside leg kick.
Makoto looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Makoto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yoshimitsu.
Makoto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Makoto cracks Yoshimitsu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Makoto fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yoshimitsu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Makoto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Makoto sizes up Yoshimitsu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Good leg kick by Makoto there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Yoshimitsu might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Makoto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yoshimitsu has time to react.

Makoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yoshimitsu looks to land a right hand but Makoto moved out of range.

Makoto is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yoshimitsu can do to turn this around?

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Makoto, as that shot connected.

Yoshimitsu walks into a big right hand from Makoto and goes down! The referee sends Makoto to a neutral corner as Yoshimitsu gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.

Makoto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yoshimitsu.
Makoto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yoshimitsu.
