Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Rob Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Schmo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmo lands a head shot.


It looks like Rob Banks has been cut.

Banks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Schmo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Schmo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Schmo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Schmo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Banks misses with an uppercut. Schmo saw that one coming.
Schmo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Banks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banks throws out a loose jab but Schmo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schmo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Banks is out of range and Schmo settles back down.
Banks on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Schmo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Banks throws a sloppy head kick and Schmo moves out of range easily.
Banks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Schmo.
Schmo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Banks sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Banks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Banks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Banks there as he acknowledges the shot.
Banks misses with a straight right.
Schmo moves out of range as Banks strikes.
Schmo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schmo fakes the leg kick and cracks Banks in the body.
Schmo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Schmo instigates a clinch.
A short uppercut from Schmo.
Nice body punch from Schmo - that landed with a thud.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Banks just misses with a elbow thrown towards Schmo's brow.
A right hand to the body from Schmo.
Banks is breathing heavily.
Banks throws a punch but it's blocked by Schmo.
Schmo lands an uppercut.

Schmo manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schmo, as that shot connected.
Schmo scores with a jab to the jaw.


Banks is rocked!
Schmo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Schmo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Banks walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Banks is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Joe Schmo!
