Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Goodlon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woods comes into a darkened arena with his song building. skillet-monster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goodlon but Goodlon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Woods lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Robbie Goodlon has been cut.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goodlon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Woods looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Woods looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Woods!
Goodlon can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woods is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Goodlon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Woods goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Goodlon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Woods but great work by Goodlon.

Goodlon has an Americana. Woods didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Goodlon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Goodlon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
