The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wainwright goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Dog clinches up with Wainwright and pushes him back against the cage.

Wainwright wants to break free but Dog has control.
Dog using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wainwright has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dog lands a head kick that stumbles Wainwright and the fighters go to the mat.

Duke Dog overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dog controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wainwright is still in real trouble! Can Dog finish him?
Dog gets to his feet and stands over Wainwright, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wainwright felt that one! Dog unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wainwright from any more punishment!
