Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Makela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Christian Makela enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim fails with a takedown attempt.
Makela fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kim could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Makela clinches up with Kim and pushes him back against the cage.
Kim tries to stall but Makela uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Makela has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kim is trying to keep an underhook but Makela manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kim is looking for a sweep. Makela is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Makela is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kim doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Makela.
Kim is trying to control but can't.
Kim is looking to escape.
Kim is trying to maintain the position but Makela is very close to passing his half guard.
Kim really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Makela uses his free foot to push down on Kim's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kim.

Kim tries to lock up and control but Makela gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Makela with shots to the head and body - Kim looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kim gets back to half guard.
Makela is looking for a kimura but Kim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Makela to get the leverage.

Kim manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Makela manages to get himself to full guard.
Kim has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Makela is proving hard to escape from.

Makela looking for a guillotine here but Kim defends easily.
Makela wants to sweep here but Kim controlling him for the moment.

Makela manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kim manages to get himself to full guard.
Makela is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Makela has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kim looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kim wants to sweep but no luck.
Makela postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kim is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Makela, into his guard.

That's time! Kim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Makela drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kim might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kim trying to keep a closed guard but Makela is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makela wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position.
Kim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Makela can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kim looking to hit a scissor sweep but Makela is one step ahead there.
Makela is in close to Kim's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Makela passes Kim's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kim wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Makela is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Makela seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Makela is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kim!

Makela has control of Kim's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kim regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Makela is landing with some decent strikes but Kim is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Makela cracks Kim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kim can't escape the position.
Makela is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kim can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Makela jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kim manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Makela wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kim, who protects the arm well.

Makela passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kim!
A nice elbow there by Makela.
Makela wants to finish this one by submission but Kim is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Makela.

Makela jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kim is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kim and Makela has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Makela is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kim looks calm but he's in trouble here. Makela gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kim is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Makela lets go of the hold and Kim can pop his arm back in it's socket.
