Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Salty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Ryback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salty comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna Fly Now. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elmo Salty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Casey Ryback!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryback dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ryback throws a body punch but Salty moves out of range.
Ryback throws a poor cross that misses
and Salty counters with a nice leg kick.
Ryback does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Salty feints and then cracks Ryback's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ryback down.
Ryback keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Salty feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rybacks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Salty throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ryback looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salty is fending him off so far but Ryback persists. Nope, Salty circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryback tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Salty was well out of range. Poor timing from Ryback.
A jab from Salty does it's job there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryback throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ryback lands a nice hook to Salty's body. Salty takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ryback throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salty throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Salty misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ryback takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Salty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Salty lunges at Ryback with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ryback's hand.
Salty steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ryback. That one must have hurt.
Salty checks a leg kick.
Ryback throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Salty shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Salty swings and misses with a hook to the body.

so Ryback counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ryback lands a couple of elbows.
Ryback looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Salty wants to stand but Ryback is controlling the position.

Ryback wants to control from the top but Salty keeps moving.
Salty wants to stand and escape but Ryback is having none of it.
Ryback trying to control the position from guard on top but Salty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ryback pushes down on Salty's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ryback is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Ryback is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Salty!

Ryback is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Ryback extends the arm and Salty is forced to tap!
