Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Helio Perrera!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrera throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Janus was covering up waiting for the punch and Perrera finishes the takedown easily into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perrera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Perrera connects with a couple of short punches.
Perrera wants to control from the top but Janus keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perrera looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Janus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Janus's coaches at Cylon Training Academy have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Perrera is nestled in close to Janus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Helio Perrera has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Janus's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Perrera is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Janus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Perrera! Janus is hurt baaadly! Perrera is firing away with more strikes - Janus is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
