Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tubbins Stewfis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewfis comes to the cage accompanied by like a hurricane!. Tubbins Stewfis had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 267.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Tubbins Stewfis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tubbins Stewfis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duncan.
Duncan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stewfis defends it nicely.
Stewfis throws the left hand but Duncan avoids the punch easily.
Duncan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stewfis is fending him off so far but Duncan persists. Nope, Stewfis circles away and we're back to standing.
Tubbins Stewfis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Duncan.
Duncan misses with a straight left.

Duncan feints and as Stewfis raises his hands in defense, Duncan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Duncan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Stewfis is looking to stand up but Duncan isn't so interested in that idea.
Duncan lands a couple of digs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duncan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Duncan throws a big right hand that misses.
Duncan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Stewfis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duncan on the ground.
Duncan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Stewfis is breathing heavily.
Duncan trying to control but Stewfis is working from the bottom.
Duncan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duncan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Stewfis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Duncan.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Duncan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Duncan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Duncan works over Stewfis with some ground and pound from guard.

Duncan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Duncan is in close to Stewfis's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Stewfis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stewfis tries to get out of the position.
Duncan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Duncan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Duncan stands up and waves to Stewfis to follow him.
Duncan dives in for a single leg takedown but Stewfis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stewfis managing to block the knees to the body from Duncan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duncan avoiding damage as Stewfis throws knees to the body.
Duncan is working for takedown but Stewfis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Duncan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Duncan is struggling to control the position.
Stewfis unloads a knee to the mid-section.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duncan throws a head punch that misses.
Stewfis gets underhooks to prevent Duncan's takedown attempt.
Duncan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stewfis to keep the fight standing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Duncan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Duncan dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stewfis leaves Duncan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Eddie Duncan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duncan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stewfis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Duncan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stewfis is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Duncan yanks on the arm and Stewfis is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Duncan.

In his post fight interview, Eddie Duncan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
