Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miles David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Radic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niko Radic will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miles David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Niko Radic!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but David moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Radic uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from David.
Radic cracks David with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A slow jab from Radic misses its intended target.

David shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Radic is trying to defend but David finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

David lands strikes from half guard.
David landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
David lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
David drops an elbow to the side of Radic's head.

Radic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. David connects with a nice short shot to Radic's temple.

David knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Radic on the ground.
David content to control rather than advance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Radic has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

David is nestled in close to Radic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
David takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
David is looking to stall here but Radic recovers full guard.

David wants to pass the guard but Radic is keeping the position.
David wants to control from the top but Radic keeps moving.
David makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
David is pushing down on Radic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Radic is fighting to maintain full guard but David has managed to sneak the leg through.
David seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Radic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

David seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. David lands a nice short elbow.

Radic tries to roll over but David keeps him under control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Radic wants to get back to full guard.
Radic is trying to defend against the ground and pound but David scores with a couple of nice shots.
Radic has hold of David's hands but David slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miles David dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


David avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Radic closes the distance and clinches up with David, looking for a takedown. Radic pushes David against the cage but David circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

David connects with a body shot that sends Radic's belly button to the back.
Radic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

David closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - David lands in his opponent's guard.
Radic keeping moving, preventing David from controlling successfully.
David is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Radic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. David doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Radic is tightening it up a little... David has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! David reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! David taps out! Nice BJJ there by Radic!
