Sheffield comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Invasion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Skip Sheffield has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matthew Gomez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sheffield looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Sheffield gets caught flat footed, as Gomez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sheffield has momentary wrist control but Gomez slips an elbow through the middle.

Sheffield is working an open guard so Gomez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Gomez clinches up with Sheffield and pushes him back against the cage.

Gomez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gomez loads up on a big left hand. Sheffield felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Gomez looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Sheffield can't hide his disappointment, as Gomez celebrates the victory.
