The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Da Gaucho. No joy for Carvalho on that attempt.

Carvalho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Da Gaucho has his foot on Carvalho's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carvalho works his way back into a safe position though.
Carvalho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Da Gaucho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carvalho manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bruno Da Gaucho wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Carvalho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Da Gaucho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Da Gaucho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carvalho defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Da Gaucho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carvalho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Da Gaucho looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carvalho is one step ahead there.
Da Gaucho is trying to control the position but Carvalho postures up.
Carvalho is pushing down on Da Gaucho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Da Gaucho is fighting to maintain full guard but Carvalho has managed to sneak the leg through.
Da Gaucho is looking to improve his position.

Da Gaucho has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Carvalho. Oh but Da Gaucho has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Carvalho goes limp - he's gone! Da Gaucho jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
