Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvan Ten Cate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvan Ten Cate will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper misses with a double jab
and Ten Cate counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ten Cate looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ten Cate is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Ten Cate decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cooper gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ten Cate tries to stand but Cooper is controlling from the bottom.
Cooper manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Cooper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

You can see the frustration on Ten Cate's face as Cooper controls the position.

Cooper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cooper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Ten Cate's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cooper is staying tight to Ten Cate's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silvan Ten Cate dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ten Cate clinches up with Cooper and pushes him back against the cage.

Cooper is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ten Cate is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cooper to the mat. Cooper regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ten Cate got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cooper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ten Cate has managed to get both his arms back between Cooper's legs - danger averted.

Cooper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ten Cate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ten Cate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ten Cate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cooper swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cooper has his foot on Ten Cate's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ten Cate works his way back into a safe position though.

Cooper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ten Cate to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cooper is looking for a triangle but Ten Cate pushes his legs off easily.
Ten Cate's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Cooper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cooper looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ten Cate has picked Cooper up and slammed him! Cooper can't keep hold of the triangle and Ten Cate manages to pass to side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ten Cate decides to stand back up. Ten Cate steps back and let's Cooper get back to his feet.

Ten Cate shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ten Cate showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cooper looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ten Cate wants to control but Cooper is keeping him busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ten Cate stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Silvan Ten Cate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ten Cate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ten Cate gets to mount! Cooper was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cooper is trying to pull guard but Ten Cate turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ten Cate blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ten Cate has Cooper pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ten Cate pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cooper tumbling to the mat - Ten Cate dives into Cooper's guard.
Ten Cate passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ten Cate is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cooper has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ten Cate goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cooper has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ten Cate but great work by Cooper.

Ten Cate is trying to control Cooper's posture but Cooper avoids it.
Ten Cate might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cooper haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ten Cate tries to buck Cooper off but Cooper is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ten Cate is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cooper is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Silvan Ten Cate comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ten Cate has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
