PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saem Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrathion Blackwing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackwing has chosen Sure shot as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Saem Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wrathion Blackwing!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwing shoots in and drives through. Black sprawls well.

and Black counters with a shoot takedown. Blackwing fights it but they end up in guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Black's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Black slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black is in close to Blackwing's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Black is working Blackwing over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Blackwing manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Black manages to get himself to full guard.

I've been told that Blackwing has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Black tries to lock up and control but Blackwing gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Black is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blackwing is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Black tries to get out of the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blackwing on the ground.

Black is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

You can see the frustration on Black's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Blackwing is looking for the choke from the back position but Black is controlling his hands well.

That was a close round but I would say that Saem Black will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Blackwing shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense.
Blackwing changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Blackwing manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Saem Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wrathion Blackwing.
