Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Sundin Smit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mats Sundin Smit!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Smit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Smit closes the distance but Brown moves to the side
and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Smit tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Brown counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brown.
Smit creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Smit doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smit is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brown is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smit to the mat. Smit regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Brown won't allow Smit to get back to his feet.

Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown thows a huge punch but Smit dodges it nicely.

Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Smit doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.

Brown is keen to just control but Smit is a slippery customer.

Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smit keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brown wants to work for an arm triangle but Smit is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Smit is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Smit is trying to stand.
Brown trying to control from half guard but Smit is working away.
Brown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Smit!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brown lands with some strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Smit tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.

Brown looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smit stuffs the takedown.
Smit displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.

Smit has closed the distance and engaged Brown in a clinch.

Brown has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smit clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Brown is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Smit with him. Smit is trying to defend but Brown has an arm under the chin now! Smit grimaces and is forced to tap out!
