The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Marks counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Marks is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Marks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Waters is trying to get back to half guard.

Marks fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Marks decides to stand up, so the ref orders Waters to his feet.
Waters could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Marks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marks lands in his opponent's guard.

Marks is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Waters is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Waters has escaped and now he's on top!

and Waters decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marks 's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Waters gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Waters tries for a takedown but Marks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Marks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marks takes a little break here. Waters wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marks advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Marks shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Waters wants to get back to his feet.

Marks seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Marks uses his free foot to push down on Waters's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Waters.
Marks wants to control the pace but Waters is squirming around nicely.

Marks is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Waters is surviving well by controlling Marks 's body position as best he can.

Waters wants to hold on but Marks pushes him away.
Waters throws a strike from the bottom but Marks uses the opportunity to take his back.
Waters is keeping busy.

Waters holding both Marks 's hands and preventing any damage.

Marks has got one arm under Waters's chin. This could be trouble... Waters trying to control the other hand but Marks gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Waters has tapped out! The fight is over!
