Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Isidro Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pov Mattu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Nielsen.
Mattu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mattu shoots in looking for a takedown. Nielsen tries to sprawl out of it but Mattu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nielsen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mattu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Isidro Nielsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pov Mattu.
Nielsen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mattu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nielsen sprawls well. Nielsen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mattu gets slowly back to his feet.
Mattu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nielsen defends well and Mattu ends up having to push Nielsen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mattu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nielsen's efforts to push away.
Nielsen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mattu up against the cage.

Nielsen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Nielsen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nielsen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mattu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nielsen avoids it really well and circles away.
Mattu tries for a takedown but Nielsen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Nielsen counters by moving into the clinch.

Nielsen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mattu wants to clinch up but Nielsen keeps it at a distance.

Mattu shoots for a takedown but Nielsen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nielsen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mattu eats them both and turns towards Nielsen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nielsen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nielsen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mattu.
Mattu avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nielsen closes the distance and clinches.
Nielsen with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nielsen drags the fight down to the ground.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nielsen has his foot on Mattu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mattu works his way back into a safe position though.

Mattu with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nielsen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mattu is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Nielsen drives through and clinches with Mattu against the cage.

Mattu pulls Nielsen into guard.
Nielsen postures up in Mattu's guard and throws a big left but Mattu blocks it.
Mattu is looking to stand up but Nielsen isn't so interested in that idea.
Mattu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mattu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nielsen escapes and throws Mattu's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nielsen decides to stand back up. Nielsen steps back and let's Mattu get back to his feet.

Nielsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nielsen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nielsen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Nielsen throws a strike aimed at the side of Mattu's head but Mattu avoids it well.

Mattu tries to close the distance and clinch but Nielsen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mattu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nielsen but Nielsen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
