Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaro Pajari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaro Pajari could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Trey Lawson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaro Pajari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trey Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pajari.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lawson.
Lawson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lawson stuffs the takedown.
Pajari has been working on his balance at Valhalla:NY GYM, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Lawson.
Lawson feints and then cracks Pajari's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pajari down.
Pajari shoots for a double leg takedown but Lawson sprawls well. He's pushed Pajari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaro Pajari. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pajari jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lawson walks away with a smile on his face. Pajari gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lawson slaps away a takedown attempt from Pajari, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lawson lands a big head kick that sends Pajari tumbling to the mat! Lawson takes a step backwards and waves Pajari back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Aaro Pajari has been cut.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pajari. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Pajari doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lawson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Aaro Pajari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lawson enables Pajari to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lawson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pajari is looking to work some ground and pound but Lawson has wrist control.
Pajari postures up and lands a big shot to Lawson's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Lawson counters with a good, hard body kick but Pajari shrugs it off.
Lawson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lawson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Oh Pajari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lawson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lawson - that will leave a mark!
Pajari seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pajari stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lawson.

Pajari keeps the fight on the outside.

Lawson feints with a jab and clips Pajari right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Pajari is sent crashing into the canvas and Lawson leaps in for the kill! Pajari tries to get to his feet but Lawson is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Pajari is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trey Lawson!
A relieved looking Trey Lawson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
