Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Schuman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Brake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Brake.
Schuman throws a head kick that misses.
Schuman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brake as he jumps to the side.
Brake throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schuman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Schuman there as he acknowledges the shot.
Brake throws a right hand that Schuman ducks under and follows up with a left that Schuman also avoids with ease.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brake just misses with a elbow thrown towards Schuman's brow.

Schuman looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Brake tries to bum rush Schuman with a series of wild strikes but Schuman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Schuman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brake won't be happy with that.

Schuman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brake is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dan Schuman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Brake.
Brake has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Schuman.
