Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parmenides Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Danger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonzo Barrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Parmenides Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson closes the distance but Barrera moves to the side

and Barrera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Barrera is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.

Barrera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Barrera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Johnson wants to clinch up but Barrera keeps it at a distance.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barrera swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barrera to keep the fight standing.

Barrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barrera works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Johnson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Barrera has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barrera is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Johnson. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Barrera slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Barrera lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Johnson hold on?!

Barrera is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Barrera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Barrera holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barrera just stands there and leans against the cage.
Alonzo Barrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parmenides Johnson.

Barrera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Johnson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Barrera is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Barrera manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barrera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Barrera stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Johnson wants to stand but Barrera is controlling the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barrera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Barrera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Barrera has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barrera walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barrera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
