Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Royler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emmanuel Zsorats (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Fuel. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emmanuel Zsorats!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royler misses with a low kick.

Zsorats scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Zsorats tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zsorats has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Royler seems a little lost for a moment, as Zsorats dominates the positioning.

Zsorats is looking to take a break and control but Royler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zsorats might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Royler haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Emmanuel Zsorats hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Zsorats takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Royler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zsorats paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Royler.

Royler avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Zsorats feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Royler's calf.

Royler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Royler looks to land a left hand but Zsorats moved out of range nicely.
Zsorats throws a solid leg kick but Royler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Zsorats.

Royler misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Zsorats decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Royler's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Royler manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Zsorats sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Royler is trying to control. Zsorats wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Zsorats throws a leg kick but Royler checks it.

Royler swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Zsorats throws a head kick but Royler moves out of range.

Zsorats closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Zsorats seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Zsorats is trying to control the action in half guard but Royler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Royler wants to get back to his feet.
