Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferdinando Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinicius Kruger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ferdinando Ferrari!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrari slips a jab from Kruger.
Ferrari fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kruger on the side of the head.
Ferrari works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jab, jab by Ferrari - just one landing.
Kruger looks to land a right hand but Ferrari moved out of range.
Vinicius Kruger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Ferrari.
Ferrari dips to his left and cracks Kruger with an uppercut!
Kruger swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Ferrari counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ferrari.

Kruger wants to break free but Ferrari has control.
Ferrari misses with a hook from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ferrari creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kruger can't get the takedown.

Ferrari has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kruger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kruger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Ferrari counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kruger wants to stand up but Ferrari is controlling him.

Ferrari has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ferrari's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Ferrari trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kruger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferrari can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ferrari wants to control from the top but Kruger keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ferrari is in close to Kruger's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Ferrari not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kruger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ferrari is aware though and is defending well.

Kruger has his foot on Ferrari's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferrari works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kruger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrari gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kruger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ferrari defends well.

Kruger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferrari defends it easily.
Ferrari engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ferrari stands up over Kruger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ferrari digs a good body shot into Kruger's ribs.
Kruger fails to land with a series of punches.
Ferrari lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kruger's sensitive parts.
Ferrari fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kruger has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fighters circling - Kruger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ferrari is looking to clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kruger crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ferrari - the referee stops the clock and Kruger gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ferrari. Kruger manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kruger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ferrari turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Ferrari counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kruger!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ferrari is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kruger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kruger takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kruger sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Ferrari is working for a kimura but Kruger is defending it quite comfortably.

Ferrari works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

A big shot lands for Ferrari! That's hurt Kruger! Will he recover? Ferrari fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Ferdinando Ferrari thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
