The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapaldi tries to land a leg kick but Brandy saw it coming and moves away.
Kapaldi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kapaldi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brandy moves away.
Kapaldi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandy circles away quickly and effectively.
Brandy takes a swing at Kapaldi's ribcage but misses.
Brandy shoots in but Kapaldi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brandy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kapaldi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brandy moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brandy shoots in for a takedown but Kapaldi shows good takedown defense.
