Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shawn Farmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Brown!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farmer circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Farmer.
Brown forces Farmer back against the cage and clinches.
Brown has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Farmer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brown gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Farmer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though.
Farmer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Brown drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Farmer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brown has Farmer in his guard.
Farmer wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.

Brown looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Farmer puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Farmer is thwarting Brown's attempts to control the position.

Farmer moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Brown.
Brown is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Brown prevents Farmer from moving into mount.

Brown is squirming around, avoiding Farmer's attempts to control the action.

Brown is desperately trying to improve his position but Farmer has a good base and remains in mount.

The referee warns Brown that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Farmer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Farmer landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble!
Brown is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Brown tries to hold on but Farmer postures up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Farmer looking to control but Brown is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Farmer will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brown wants to clinch.
Brown fails to land the takedown.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Farmer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Brown gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Farmer.
Farmer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Farmer tries to pull guard but Brown won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Farmer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Farmer wants to stall.
Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.
Farmer tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Farmer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Farmer is pressed up against the cage. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Farmer down to the mat. Farmer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Farmer enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Farmer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Farmer is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brown presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Farmer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brown to keep the fight standing.
Farmer is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Farmer tries for a takedown. No joy.

Farmer tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Brown is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Farmer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Brown is trying to trip Farmer. He has hold of a leg but Farmer is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brown persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown prevents Farmer from getting back to his feet.

Farmer has his feet on Brown's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Brown closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Farmer quickly recovers to half guard.

Brown working over Farmer with some ground and pound. Farmer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Brown tries to pass to full mount but Farmer defends it.
Farmer is refusing to be controlled, as Brown sits in half guard.
Brown might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Farmer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Brown passes the guard and advances to mount!
Brown fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Farmer is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Farmer tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Farmer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Farmer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brown is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Brown unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Farmer wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Brown celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
