Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordus Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom DeNardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Clay might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SCOTLAND THE BRAVE !!!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but DeNardo moves away.
Clay waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract DeNardo.
Clay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clay misses with a wild body shot.
DeNardo fails with a takedown attempt.
DeNardo throws a hook to the side of Clay's head but Clay sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Clay counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Clay.

Clay tries to throw a body punch but DeNardo avoids it by throwing Clay back against the cage.
DeNardo struggles to land a body shot inside as Clay controls his hands.
Clay tries to work over DeNardo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for DeNardo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Clay looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

DeNardo motions for Clay to come forward. DeNardo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Clay tries to clinch but DeNardo is having none of it.
Clay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Clay counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
DeNardo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Clay has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from DeNardo finds it's way round the side to connect with Clay's head.

Clay is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of DeNardo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take DeNardo's back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Gordus Clay will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
DeNardo dives in for a single leg takedown but Clay sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
