Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Dahlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aatuska Pakkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aatuska Pakkanen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Dahlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aatuska Pakkanen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dahlin rushes Pakkanen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pakkanen prevents the takedown attempt.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Dahlin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dahlin tries to pull guard but Pakkanen won't allow it.
Dahlin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pakkanen prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Dahlin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dahlin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Pakkanen is trying to break the clinch but Dahlin is controlling him.

Dahlin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Pakkanen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dahlin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dahlin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Dahlin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pakkanen's waist but Pakkanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dahlin off to one side.

Dahlin moves into the clinch.
Dahlin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pakkanen walks away with a smile on his face. Dahlin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pakkanen lands a left and a right that send Dahlin crashing to the mat, dazed. Pakkanen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Dahlin is rocked!
Pakkanen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pakkanen fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Dahlin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pakkanen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pakkanen misses with a wild combination.
Pakkanen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dahlin.
Pakkanen loads up on a big right hand but Dahlin slips the punch.
Dahlin seems to have got his legs back now.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Pakkanen is trying to push Dahlin away but Dahlin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dahlin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pakkanen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Pakkanen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dahlin has him pressed against the cage.
Dahlin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Dahlin seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Pakkanen is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

letting Pakkanen counter with a right hand.

Dahlin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pakkanen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dahlin throws a head kick that misses.
Max Dahlin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pakkanen plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Dahlin to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Dahlin just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
