Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Singleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Little Joe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Singleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Joe!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Singleton counters with a head kick.
Joe shoots and misses
and Singleton counters with a nice uppercut.
Joe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Singleton pinned against the cage. Singleton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sergio Singleton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Little Joe.
Joe looks to clinch

and Singleton counters by clinching up.

Singleton tightens his grip and picks Joe up, before dumping him to the ground. Joe manages to land in guard.
Joe throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Joe throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Singleton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Joe is looking for a triangle here but Singleton uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Joe has eaten all the pies!
Singleton is staying tight to Joe's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Singleton working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Joe tries to escape but Singleton is in control.

Singleton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Singleton works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Joe is letting Singleton control him for a moment.
Joe is looking to regain half guard here but Singleton keeps moving and retains side control.

Singleton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Joe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Joe jabs Singleton to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Singleton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Joe is fending him off so far but Singleton persists. Nope, Joe circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Singleton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Joe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Singleton avoids it really well and circles away.

Joe throws a series of punches but Singleton moves out of range.

Joe gets caught flat footed, as Singleton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Singleton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Singleton controls from within his opponent's guard.
Singleton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

and Singleton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Joe looks to score with a jab to the body but Singleton is just out of range.
Singleton is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Joe scores with a hook to the body. Singleton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Singleton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Joe moves into the clinch.
Joe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Singleton.

Singleton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Joe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Joe lands in his opponent's guard.

Singleton is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Singleton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Joe trying to control the position from guard on top but Singleton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Singleton makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Joe really felt that one!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe wants to get back to full guard but Singleton has passed into side control.

Singleton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Singleton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Singleton content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Joe is looking to get back to his feet here but Singleton is keeping cool and he's managed to take Joe's back.

Joe tries to roll but Singleton sticks to his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Singleton is working for a rear naked choke. Joe is not defending it well and Singleton has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Joe refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Joe's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sergio Singleton!
