And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McVeigh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bullock sprawls well initially but McVeigh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McVeigh decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

McVeigh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bullock did well to prevent McVeigh getting side control.
Bullock tries to roll over but McVeigh keeps him under control.
Bullock controlling the position well.
McVeigh throwing shots but Bullock is blocking nicely.
McVeigh is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bullock tries to get to full guard but McVeigh has control of the leg.
McVeigh throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bullock to regain full guard.

McVeigh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bullock has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
McVeigh throwing strikes from guard but Bullock blocks nicely.
Bullock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McVeigh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McVeigh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McVeigh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bullock working for a triangle but McVeigh defends it easily.

McVeigh landing with the ground and pound.
McVeigh wants to get up but he can't break Bullock's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
McVeigh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bullock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McVeigh decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bullock, up you get!

McVeigh lands a big right hand that sends Bullock crashing to the mat! McVeigh stays standing though and waves Bullock back to his feet!

Bullock is rocked!

It looks like Arlen Bullock has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McVeigh weaves into range and cracks Bullock right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Bullock goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! McVeigh is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
