Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dion Simon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milan Ivanov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Simon really is a fat lump.
Simon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Simon blocks a head kick by Ivanov.

Ivanov drives through and clinches with Simon against the cage.
Ivanov taking a breather.
Simon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ivanov smiles and moves away.

Ivanov moves into the clinch.

Simon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Simon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ivanov as he avoids it easily.

Dion Simon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milan Ivanov.

Simon shoots in and drives through. Ivanov sprawls well.
Simon fails with the takedown.
Simon shoots in for a takedown but Ivanov shows good takedown defense.
Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Simon sprawls well. Simon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ivanov gets slowly back to his feet.
Ivanov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Simon pinned against the cage. Simon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Simon counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Simon.

Ivanov drags the fight down to the ground.
Simon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ivanov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Simon tries to reverse the position but Ivanov maintains control.
Simon tries to hold on but Ivanov postures up.
Ivanov looking to control but Simon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ivanov punching from mount but Simon doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Ivanov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Simon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ivanov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Simon because Ivanov loaded up on that one.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ivanov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ivanov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Simon is surviving well by controlling Ivanov's body position as best he can.
Ivanov trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Simon wants to control but Ivanov is having none of it.
Simon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ivanov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ivanov working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Milan Ivanov dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ivanov fails to land the takedown.
Simon leaves Ivanov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Milan Ivanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Ivanov does it's job there.


It looks like Dion Simon has been cut.
Ivanov throws a combination that misses

and Simon counters by moving into the clinch.

Ivanov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Simon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ivanov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Simon on the wrong end of a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ivanov rushes Simon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Simon tries to pull guard but Ivanov won't allow it.

Ivanov manages to break the clinch.
Ivanov circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Simon drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Ivanov follows Simon to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Milan Ivanov!
A very excited looking Milan Ivanov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
