Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bada Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Carrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes the BOOM by: POD. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Carrell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom looks to land a left hand but Carrell moved out of range nicely.
Boom misses with a right hand
and Carrell counters with an outside leg kick.
Boom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boom blocks a low kick nicely.
Boom throws a body punch but Carrell moves out of range.
Carrell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boom gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Boom throws a one two combo.

It looks like Jack Carrell has been cut.
Boom misses the jab.
Boom throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carrell counters with a thumping low kick.
Carrell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Carrell.
Boom on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carrell. Carrell obviously looking to wear him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carrell throws a lazy right hand but Boom sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crunch! Carrell slams his shin into Boom's torso.
A slapping leg kick lands for Carrell.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carrell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
An inside leg kick lands from Carrell.
Carrell just misses with a punch to the body.
Boom connects with a body shot.
Carrell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boom throws out the jab.
Boom takes a swing at Carrell's ribcage but misses.
Boom chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Carrell can pounce on him.
Carrell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bada Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carrell scores with a push kick.
Carrell throws a sloppy head kick and Boom moves out of range easily.
Boom tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Carrell scoring well with a low kick there.
Boom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boom on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carrell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boom.

Carrell lands a high kick!
Boom needs to keep his hands up - Carrell had a free shot at his head there.
Jack Carrell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carrell scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Boom is rocked!
Boom throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Oh Boom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carrell throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Boom's head.
Boom throws a poor cross that misses
and Carrell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Boom swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom seems to have got his legs back now.
Boom tries for a takedown but Carrell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Carrell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boom doesn't seem bothered though.
Boom is breathing heavily.
Boom looks to land a right hand but Carrell moved out of range.
Carrell scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Carrell lands an overhand right.

Carrell cracks Boom with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Boom looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Carrell finish him?
Boom gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Carrell gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Boom is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Carrell!
