Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Makela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makela misses with a low kick.

and Rossi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The fight stays on the outside here - Makela looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rossi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Makela feints and then cracks Rossi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rossi down.

Clinched against the cage, Makela lands a big elbow that drops Rossi! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Rossi is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
