The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bellamy loads up on a big right hand but Lyons slips the punch.
Lyons takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lyons lands a right hook to the body.
Bellamy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lyons throws a body kick that misses
and Bellamy counters with a head kick. That will keep Lyons thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
A looping hook to the body misses from Lyons. Bellamy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bellamy looks to throw the jab but Lyons is out of range.

Lyons lands with a hook. Bellamy tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lyons.
Lyons cracks Bellamy with a right hand to the side of the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

That kick from Lyons tenderised Bellamy's leg. Bellamy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lyons explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

and Lyons counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lyons throws a strike but Bellamy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lyons can't keep his opponent in guard - Bellamy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bellamy is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Lyons manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lyons holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lyons is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lyons lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Lyons throws a big elbow that misses.
Bellamy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lyons stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bellamy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lyons feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bellamys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Lyons is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lyons cracks Bellamy with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Bellamy falls to his knees and Lyons doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
