Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Askr Volund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Guldhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guldhammer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guldhammer can do anything to dispel that myth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Volund is stalling in the full guard.
Volund trying to control the position from guard on top but Guldhammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Volund is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Volund sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guldhammer's guard.

Volund is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Guldhammer has managed to free his arm - good work.

Volund cracks Guldhammer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Volund takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Volund's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Guldhammer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volund. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Volund is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Guldhammer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Volund has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
