Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Forrest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brock Cena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tj Forrest!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forrest blocks a head kick by Cena.
Cena tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Forrest fails to land with a series of punches.

Forrest has Cena up against the cage in a clinch.
Forrest looking to throw knees to the head but Cena is blocking nicely.
Forrest is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Forrest lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Forrest escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cena looks to score with a jab to the body but Forrest is just out of range.
Forrest misses with a takedown attempt - Cena sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cena looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Forrest is fending him off so far but Cena persists. Nope, Forrest circles away and we're back to standing.
Forrest shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cena pinned against the cage. Cena gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cena tries for a takedown but Forrest sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Forrest drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Forrest is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cena will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Forrest looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Cena is looking to regain half guard here but Forrest keeps moving and retains side control.
Forrest is looking to take a break and control but Cena is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cena parries the strikes from Forrest easily there. Forrest is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cena to escape.
Forrest prevents Cena from escaping the position.
Cena manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cena wants to get back to full guard.
Cena misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Forrest is trying to control. Cena wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cena wants to control but Forrest is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cena is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Forrest scores with a couple of nice shots.

Forrest takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Cena is trying to maintain the position but Forrest is very close to passing his half guard.
Forrest prevents Cena from improving his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Forrest works over Cena's head and body with a nice combination.

Forrest takes the fight into the clinch.

Cena breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cena tries to clinch up but Forrest circles away and keeps his distance.
No luck for Cena with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Cena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Forrest stuffs the takedown.

Forrest shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Forrest was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Forrest is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cena knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Forrest wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cena keeps working.

Forrest dives in for a single leg takedown but Cena sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Forrest misses with some punches.
Forrest lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cena backwards.

Forrest breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cena tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Forrest manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cena is defended easily by Forrest.
Forrest tries a head kick but it misses.
Cena tries to land a front kick but Forrest steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Forrest looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cena tries to get to full guard but Forrest has control of the leg.

Cena is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Cena wants to get back to full guard.
Cena is trying to stand back up but Forrest is controlling him
Forrest is looking to stall here but Cena recovers full guard.
Cena keeping moving, preventing Forrest from controlling successfully.
Cena not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Forrest has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cena is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tj Forrest.

Forrest pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Forrest doesn't manage to clinch there - Cena circles away.

Forrest closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cena wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Forrest working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cena tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Forrest presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Cena is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Forrest raining down shots from the mount!
Cena tries to lock up and control but Forrest gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cena manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Cena on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cena tries to get out of the position.
Forrest scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tj Forrest showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Forrest jumps guard but Cena turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Cena makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Forrest is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cena is controlling him.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Forrest tries to clinch there but Cena circles away.
Cena throws a head kick that misses.
Forrest pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cena has a takedown stuffed.

Cena breaks the clinch.
Forrest punishes Cena's body with a nice straight punch.
Cena shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Brock Cena has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tj Forrest.

Cena closes the distance and clinches.
A short uppercut from Cena.
Forrest managing to block the knees to the body from Cena.
Forrest misses with a body punch.

Forrest gets control of Cena's arms and successfully pulls guard. Forrest will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Cena controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tj Forrest has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cena looking to sit in guard and control but Forrest gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cena is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Forrest trying to hold on to Cena's head to control him but Cena postures up.
Cena not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Brock Cena has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tj Forrest is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Forrest has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
