PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Hazard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Zawadzki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zawadzki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Damage Done. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Hazard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Zawadzki!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zawadzki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hazard tries to work over Zawadzki's front leg with a kick but Zawadzki checks it.
Hazard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hazard lands a left and a right that send Zawadzki crashing to the mat, dazed. Hazard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like David Zawadzki has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hazard looks to land a combination but Zawadzki avoids it well.
Hazard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Zawadzki has Hazard up against the cage in a clinch.

Zawadzki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Zawadzki shoots for a double leg takedown but Hazard sprawls well. He's pushed Zawadzki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
John Hazard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Zawadzki.
Hazard throws a series of punches but Zawadzki avoids them all with ease.

Hazard moves into range and clinches up with Zawadzki.

Hazard wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zawadzki has him pressed against the cage.

Zawadzki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hazard's guard.

Hazard throws a sloppy head kick and Zawadzki moves out of range easily.
Hazard lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hazard wants to get back to his feet but Zawadzki drags him back down.
Zawadzki connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hazard some visible discomfort.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zawadzki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
