The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Elwood darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Elwood is trying to control the action in half guard but Fernandez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fernandez is looking to improve his position.

Elwood is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Fernandez still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Fernandez has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Elwood is looking to reverse the position.
