Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gail Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gail Brock has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gail Brock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock tries to clinch up but Alexander circles away and keeps his distance.
Alexander looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Alexander decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Alexander is keen to just control but Brock is a slippery customer.

Brock looking for submissions off his back.

Brock actively working from the bottom here.
Alexander seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brock is trying to stand back up but Alexander is controlling him
Alexander wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working.
Brock is trying to escape back to his feet but Alexander uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Brock is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alexander has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Brock is trying to improve his position.
Brock manages to get back to half guard.
Brock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alexander.
Brock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alexander wants to pass to mount but Brock is defending the position.

Alexander thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brock's head.
Brock wants to get back to his feet.
Alexander wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working.

Brock is trying to stand back up but Alexander is controlling him
Brock is breathing heavily.
Alexander wants to take a breather but Brock is having none of it.

Alexander wants to stand up but Brock is controlling the position.
Brock tries to kick Alexander off but Alexander keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brock is pressing down on Alexander's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Brock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Brock has his foot on Alexander's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alexander works his way back into a safe position though.

Brock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alexander defends well.

Brock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alexander can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alexander wants to control from the top but Brock keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gordon Alexander will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - Brock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brock wants to clinch.

Alexander gets the takedown into side control.

Alexander is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brock is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alexander taking a break here but Brock is having none of it and regains half guard.
Gordon Alexander has got the better of the ground game so far.

Brock actively working from the bottom here.
Alexander is breathing heavily.
Alexander is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Brock reverses the position - he's now on top in Alexander's guard.
Brock tries to stand but Alexander is controlling from the bottom.
Brock trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Alexander bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brock's guard.

Brock working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Alexander has passed into half guard!
Alexander prevents Brock from standing back up.
Well, if Alexander is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Alexander wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working.

Alexander works his way into full mount!
Alexander looking to control but Brock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Brock has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Alexander's lack of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Alexander showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Brock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Brock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brock tries to stand but can't do so whilst Alexander controls his leg.
Brock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Alexander makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alexander.
Alexander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alexander takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Alexander trying to keep a closed guard but Brock is proving a slippery customer.
Brock throws a strike but Alexander rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Brock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Alexander passes Brock's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Brock slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Brock is looking for a triangle but Alexander pushes his legs off easily.
Alexander slips nicely into half guard.

Brock works his way to full guard. Good work.

Brock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alexander doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alexander manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Alexander trying to control the position from guard on top but Brock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alexander wants to get up but he can't break Brock's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Brock is looking for a triangle but Alexander pushes his legs off easily.

Brock can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alexander controls the pace.
Alexander is looking to advance position but Brock has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Alexander tries to hold on but Brock pushes him away.
Gail Brock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gordon Alexander is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gail Brock.
I think Alexander has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
