Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eye Land (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Barns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eye Land is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eye Land!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Barns!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Land lands with a kick to the ribs.
A low kick from Barns is predictable there
and Land counters with a thumping low kick.

Land forces Barns back against the cage and clinches.

Land manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barns. Land does a little dance to reset his feet.
Land throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Barns checks a leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Land.
Land moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Land goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Barns looks for a takedown but Land sprawls well.
Land tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Barns is able to avoid easily.
Land avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Eye Land seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Land throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Land is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Land enables Barns to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Land manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Barns in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Barns engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Barns wants to pass the guard but Land is keeping the position.
Barns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Barns forces his way into half guard.
Barns moves nicely into side control.
Barns taking a breather here.
Land on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Land tries to get out of the position.
Barns creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Land sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Barns creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Barns slows the pace down.
Land takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Barns lands some shots froms side control.
Barns staying calm.
Barns looking to control but instead Land has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Barns is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Barns is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Land sees it coming and defends easily.
Barns winds up and cracks Land with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barns looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Barns has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Barns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Land regains half guard.
Danny Barns has got the better of the ground game so far.
Barns working over Land with some ground and pound. Land looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Barns is taking a breather. Land says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Barns passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Land!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Land is bucking up trying to escape but Barns cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Barns is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Land has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Land!
Barns has control of Land's left arm, preventing Land from doing any damage.
Barns looking for a sweep. Not yet Barns, not yet.
Land wants to control from the top but Barns keeps moving.
Barns has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Barns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Land doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Barns is tightening it up a little... Land has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Land reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Land taps out! Nice BJJ there by Barns!

Danny Barns spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
