PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vyacheslav Fedotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Bannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Bannon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Bannon!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bannon tries to land a leg kick but Fedotov saw it coming and moves away.
Fedotov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fedotov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bannon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bannon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bannon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fedotov is keeping busy.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bannon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bannon is trying to drag Fedotov to the mat but Fedotov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bannon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fedotov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

I really don't envy Fedotov right now.
Bannon doesn't have the hooks in and Fedotov manages to turn into his guard.

Bannon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fedotov is aware though and is defending well.

Bannon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fedotov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Bannon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fedotov gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bannon will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fedotov up against the cage.

and Fedotov counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Bannon! He's just covering up as Fedotov starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
