PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Zotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zotov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Мы расправи. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maksim Zotov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Brooks on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zotov. Zotov obviously looking to wear him down.
Zotov leaves Brooks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Zotov thumps Brooks with a low kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zotov.
Zotov fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Brooks checks it well.
Zotov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That kick from Zotov tenderised Brooks's leg. Brooks is trying to keep his angry face on.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zotov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brooks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brooks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zotov looks to land a body kick but Brooks moved away.
Brooks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Brooks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Brooks works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zotov tries to improve position but can't.
Brooks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brooks is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Zotov is trying to escape and Brooks transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Zotov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Brooks! Very nice indeed!
