Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lino Whitley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Fur Era (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lino Whitley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackson Fur Era!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fur Era shoots and misses

and Whitley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Whitley.
Fur Era tries to pull guard but Whitley holds him up against the cage and eventually Fur Era drops back down to his feet.
Fur Era tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lino Whitley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Fur Era.
Fur Era tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Whitley just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fur Era has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Whitley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Whitley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Whitley manages to end up in side control.

Fur Era can't do much from the bottom here.
The ground and pound from Whitley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Whitley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fur Era is looking for a sweep.
Whitley tries to stand but Fur Era is controlling his head.
Fur Era wants to control but Whitley postures up.

Fur Era tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Whitley tries to stand but Fur Era is controlling his head.
You can see the frustration on Fur Era's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fur Era wants to get back to full guard.
Fur Era has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Whitley is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fur Era is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fur Era looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Fur Era working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whitley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whitley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fur Era tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Whitley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Fur Era dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fur Era jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Whitley walks away with a smile on his face. Fur Era gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Whitley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fur Era to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fur Era postures up in Whitley's guard and throws a big left but Whitley blocks it.
Whitley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Fur Era keeps trying to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fur Era postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Whitley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fur Era, into his guard.

Whitley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Whitley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fur Era was covering up waiting for the punch and Whitley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Whitley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fur Era is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fur Era has escaped and now he's on top!

Fur Era drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fur Era jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fur Era seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Whitley is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jackson Fur Era!
