Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFly misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tripp shoots in for a takedown but McFly shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McFly's coach down at Extreme MMA (7 Elites $250/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McFly's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

I was talking to Tripp's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tripp counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McFly throws a nice looking combination but Tripp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tripp scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McFly doesn't seem bothered though.

McFly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tripp moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tripp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McFly tries to avoid it but Tripp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McFly to the ground. McFly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Tripp. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Tripp counters with a crisp one two that drops McFly! Tripp thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McFly to his feet! McFly is in big trouble!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tripp shoots in looking for a takedown but McFly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tripp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tripp tries to bum rush McFly with a series of wild strikes but McFly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McFly is still on wobbly legs! Can Tripp finish him?
Tripp goes for a small jab and connects. Now Tripp goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! McFly stumbles back but Tripp runs in with a huge uppercut knocking McFly to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if McFly will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
