The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fist ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fist scores with a hook to the body. Firbino takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fist's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fist duly obliges.
Tyson Fist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Firbino wants to clinch up but Fist keeps it at a distance.
Fist lands a two punch combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Firbino is defended easily by Fist.
Firbino takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Firbino fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fist sprawls well initially but Firbino persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Firbino tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fist defends well and Firbino ends up having to push Fist into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Firbino tries to close the distance and clinch but Fist swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fist goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Firbino takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Fist fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fist misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Firbino.
Firbino shoots in but no luck this time.

Firbino fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fist throws a nice looking combination but Firbino bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tyson Fist is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fist lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Firbino backs up against the cage.
A chopping leg kick lands by Firbino.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Firbino shoots in looking for a takedown but Fist manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Firbino's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No joy there for Fist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Firbino avoids a punch combination nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Firbino has hold of Fist's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Fist seems comfortable defending it but Firbino has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Fist is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Fist is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Firbino couldn't care less - he's delighted!
