Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazunori Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Guerreiro by Curumin. Ishii has chosen Imagine Dragons - Radioactive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Ishii throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Alves fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ishii sprawls well initially but Alves persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ishii is controlling Alves's position as best he can from this difficult position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Alves is looking to work some ground and pound but Ishii has wrist control.
Ishii is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Alves throwing strikes but Ishii manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That was a close round but I would say that Guilherme Alves will probably get the nod.

Alves creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ishii sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Alves looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ishii with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Guilherme Alves will probably get the nod.

Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ishii tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ishii to the ground. Ishii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kazunori Ishii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Alves counters by clinching up.
Alves lands an elbow inside that Ishii shrugs off.

Alves lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Alves bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ishii feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alvess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This has been an exciting period of action!

I would just about give that final round to Kazunori Ishii.
