The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry Jr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Vangard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Perry Jr scores with a leg kick.
Vangard connects with a looping right hand.
Perry Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Vangard , looking for a takedown. Perry Jr pushes Vangard against the cage but Vangard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Perry Jr misses with a body shot
and Vangard counters with a two punch combo.
Vangard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perry Jr moves away.
Vangard misses with a hook. Perry Jr ducked under it nicely.
Perry Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Perry Jr.
Perry Jr throws a head kick but Vangard moves out of range.
Perry Jr shoots in looking for a takedown but Vangard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Perry Jr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A combination from Vangard does no damage.
Ross Vangard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perry Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vangard is fending him off so far but Perry Jr persists. Nope, Vangard circles away and we're back to standing.

Perry Jr is looking to stand up but Vangard isn't so interested in that idea.

Perry Jr bucks up and tries to throw Vangard off but instead Vangard has got his back!

Vangard has got one arm under Perry Jr's chin. This could be trouble... Perry Jr trying to control the other hand but Vangard gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Perry Jr has tapped out! The fight is over!
